A police officer reported on Monday, November 2 that three private schools in Indore and the mayor’s office have received emails threatening weapon blows in connection with Punjabi song Diljit Dosanjh’s scheduled music in the area.
Nevertheless, he claimed that initial investigations into the messages suggested the emails were fakes.
More Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Dandotiya told investigators that the letters, which were written in Punjabi, were sent to the three universities and threatened their managers with bomb blasts and warned them against sending kids to the music.
Rocket waste teams searched all three campuses, but they discovered no explosives, he claimed.
According to Dandotiya, the issue was being looked into after the mayor’s office received a similar threat email related to Dosanjh’s approaching concert.
At first glance, the emails appeared to be hoaxes, he said, adding that the murder branch was looking into technological evidence to find the spammers.
The police agent added that appropriate legal action would be taken in response to the research.
Dandotiya clarified that the organizers had not yet requested police approval to keep the November 15 music.
