It is an episode celebrated for encapsulating just why Aussies love cricket.
And the highly-acclaimed Bluey episode is being immortalised as the latest addition to the sought-after coin collection.
The Royal Australian Mint has announced it is launching yet another Bluey $1 coin – or dollarbucks as the loveable Heeler family call them.
And it will be based around one of the show’s most recent episodes, Cricket.
Centring around supporting character Rusty, the heartwarming episode shows how practice makes perfect as Bluey’s dad Bandit and his mates struggle to bowl out the eager kelpie.
And one of the memorable moments from the episode features on the new $1, with Rusty sending a fierce drive as Bluey cheers him on.
The new coin launches later this month, with demand expected to be so high that the Mint is running a ballot to secure them.
An uncirculated version of the coin will be available to purchase for $25, while a limited edition silver proof coin inside a cricket ball tin will be sold for $112.50.
It comes after a collection of $2 coins was launched by Australia Post earlier this year.
“To celebrate a classic Aussie tradition, the Royal Australian Mint presents a fun and colourful new coin design based on the beloved Cricket episode of Bluey,” A Royal Australian Mint spokesman said.
“Cricket has become a serious favourite.”
Launched in May, the most recent collection of “dollarbucks” featured colour coins based on several other of the show’s most loved episodes, including Sleepytime, Baby Race and Granny Mobile.
Following the launch, resale websites such as eBay saw a huge surge of listings, with some being sold at several times their original value.
The ballot opens on Friday, September 18 at 8.30am AEST, closing on Monday, September 21.
The coins will then be available in selected shops from Wednesday, September 23.
