Russian news agency RIA reported on Saturday that the Federal Security Service ( FSB ) of Russia had received information from the United States about Russian preparations for a terrorist attack in Moscow.
The FSB claimed that the information came from trusted partner sources and that it was taking appropriate steps in reply.
Individually, the US Embassy in Moscow declared that it was aware of the possibility of a “mass victim event” occurring on Saturday at the Moscow Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve.

The US government was also cited as saying that the country was cooperating with Russian government regarding the danger.
