Bachelor star Sam Wood will return to court on Friday for another bid for bail after spending almost a month on remand.
The 46-year-old is accused of strangling his wife Snezana and striking her in the head following an alleged argument at a beachside house in Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
Mr Wood was charged on October 3 with assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence) and strangulation in a domestic setting following the alleged assault.
His original bail appeal was denied by acting magistrate Janelle Boegheim in early October; Mr Wood now taking his fight to the Supreme Court.
Court documents reveal Mr Wood has engaged a new solicitor, Bradford Hill from BJH Law, for his Supreme Court bid.
He is also understood he is seeking a non-publication order in relation to the matter.
The couple were holidaying with family, including Snezana’s adult daughter Eve Markoski-Wood, at the time of his arrest.
The pair met in 2015 on the third season of the reality dating show The Bachelor Australia.
What court has hear of night Sam Wood allegedly assaulted wife
At his original bail hearing in October, the Maroochydore Magistrates Court heard Mrs Wood told police she had been packing to leave the next day, igniting an argument with her husband.

It was then alleged he pushed her into a wardrobe, with Mrs Wood’s 21-year-old daughter Eve Markoski-Wood telling him to stop yelling.
Prosecutors allege Mr Wood then went “aggressively” towards his stepdaughter and Mrs Wood blocked his path.
The court was told Mr Wood then allegedly grabbed his wife by the neck and pulled her to the ground, restricting her breathing.
Later, Mrs Wood told police Mr Wood was “volatile and prone to angry outbursts”, feeling like she had to “walk on eggshells around him”.
The magistrates court was told she thought “her life was going to end”.
Domestic Violence helplines
Mr Wood’s then-solicitor Mathew Cuskelly argued Mr Wood could potentially argue “self-defence” if the case were to go to trial.
“My client’s stepdaughter engaged with him in a hostile matter,” he told the magistrates court in October.
“Mr Wood’s pushed his wife away.
“Importantly, there is a denial in respect to any strangulation.”
Mr Wood is expected to have his bail application heard from 10am AEST on Friday.
