Samara Weaving has a daughter.

The Ready or Not 2: Here I Come actress was reported last month to have welcomed her first baby into the world, and she’s now confirmed she and husband Jimmy Warden have a little girl as she reflected on her first experiences of motherhood and how her household have adjusted.

She told People magazine: “The cat doesn’t really know what’s going on. They haven’t, like, peed on her or done anything too aggressive. They seem to be ok. They seem to be alright. I can’t wait for them all to become best friends, though.”

Samara, 34, was more focused on delivering her daughter safely than having her perfect birth experience.

She said: “I really just listened to my doctors and nurses. I followed my instincts, but at the end of the day, I was like whatever [her doctor] wants to do, I will do.”

Samara is keen to juggle motherhood with her career but insisted every woman should make the choices that matter to them.

She said: “You know a lot of women have paved the way for me to be able to do that.

“I watched my mom do it, and it was so nice having her with me when the baby was first born, and such a bonding experience. Whatever you want to do, whatever kind of mom you want to be, I support them all. Hats off to you.”

In March, Samara shared that she had leaned on her Babylon co-star Margot Robbie – who gave birth to her and husband Tom Ackerley’s first child, a baby boy, in October 2024 – for advice during her pregnancy.

Samara explained to People: “All my girls here who are moms have just been so lovely, and I think what they all tell me is just, ‘You do it your way. Whatever makes you feel comfortable.’

“I think our society there’s so many voices and opinions, and that it’s tough for women, especially when they’re pregnant and being a mom. So they’re all just so supportive of whatever I want to do is good.”

In December 2025, Samara and Jimmy – who married in 2019 – announced they were starting a family.

She shared a series of photos of herself showing off her blossoming bump, with a caption referencing her recent film: “Ready or Not: Here I Come.”
