Kollywood star Suriya’s 47th film finally has a name. The actor’s next with Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan is titled Scene, and the first title teaser gives a glimpse of a very different Suriya. He plays DSP Inbaraj, a quirky police officer who seems to have little patience for rules, codes or convention.

Set to release in theatres on November 6, 2026, during Diwali, Scene looks like a mix of action, comedy and chaos. The one-minute-20-second teaser introduces Inbaraj as a cop who is good at catching criminals but not so good at following the rulebook. He is unpredictable, eccentric and clearly has a mind of his own.

The character also seems to carry the distinct flavour of Jithu Madhavan’s cinema. The teaser has the same offbeat energy and colourful world that audiences saw in Aavesham. Suriya’s Inbaraj, meanwhile, appears to be at the centre of all the madness.

Music plays an important part in setting the mood. Sushin Shyam has composed both the songs and background score, with the teaser featuring a punchy theme that fits the film’s action-comedy setting.

The teaser also features actor-director Lal in a supporting role. Another character is kept away from the camera, with only his voice and presence hinting at who he could be. Fans are speculating that the mystery character could be Naslen. Nazriya Nazim Fahadh is the female lead.

Scene will be Suriya’s third release of 2026, following Karuppu and Vishwanath & Sons. His most recent release, Vishwanath & Sons, was directed by Venky Atluri and also starred Mamitha Baiju.

After Scene, Suriya will be seen in the tentatively titled SuriyaXHombale, also known as Suriya48. Directed by TJ Gnanavel and backed by Hombale Films, the film stars Kayadu Lohar and Yogi Babu alongside him.
