Almost two dozen passengers have been injured after a bus crashed on an isolated rural road.
Emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a bus in Glenburn about 90km northeast of Melbourne on Thursday afternoon.
A specialist Air Ambulance Victoria helicopter crew and multiple Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance and Advanced Life Support paramedic crews assessed 21 people at the scene.
A teenage male was treated and airlifted to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition with upper body injuries, Ambulance Victoria said in a statement.
A man in his 50s was treated and taken by road ambulance to Box Hill Hospital, also in a serious condition.
A teenage female was treated and transported by road ambulance to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.
Another teenage male was treated and taken by road ambulance to Maroondah Hospital in a stable condition with upper body injuries.
The remaining patients did not require emergency treatment or transport, Ambulance Victoria said.
