Ricki-Lee and Jim Jefferies are the new hosts of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, which is jumping networks to Seven next year.
The announcement was made at Seven’s annual Upfronts presentation, where its slate of shows for 2027 were revealed to advertisers and media.
Both stars are already at the helm of other successful Seven shows, with Ricki-Lee hosting Australian Idol and Jeffries, a world-renowned Australian comedian, presenting Seven’s top rating game show, The 1% Club.
The long-running reality format, which sees celebrities competing in challenges while living in the African jungle, ran for 12 seasons on Ten, most recently with Julia Morris and Robert Irwin in the hosting hot seat.
There is still no word on which celebs are in the casting mix, though a network insider said the names being thrown are “exciting” and will get audiences talking.
“This evolution of the international reality phenomenon will bring passionate Aussie fans the terrifying trials, hilarious camp drama and heartfelt revelations they know and love, along with fresh twists and series firsts as celebrities compete for the coveted title of King or Queen of the Jungle,” an official release said.
Ricki-Lee said it was a “huge honour” to be asked to host the show, which is expected to start filming early next year.
“I’m such a massive fan,” she said. “And to be (hosting) alongside the incredible Jim Jefferies makes it even better!
“For years I’ve watched on from the comfort of my couch and now I get to experience it up close and personal — while standing comfortably off to the side with Jim.”
Jefferies, who has carved out a career in the US as a successful comedian, said he “couldn’t say yes fast enough” when offered the new role.
“It sounds like my ideal holiday. And who better to go into the wild with than Ricki-Lee. I can’t wait!” he said.
Seven’s director of content, unscripted, Majella Hay said: “I’m a Celebrity… is a format built to be talked about, and with Ricki-Lee and Jim Jefferies as hosts, the show will be impossible to ignore.
“Individually, Ricki-Lee and Jim couldn’t be more different but that’s exactly what makes this pairing so exciting.
“Together, they’ll bring a fresh, unexpected energy to the jungle that Australians are going to love!”
NEW SHOWS ON THE WAY
Along with the I’m A Celebrity announcement, Seven, which was the No.1 network in 2026 with a 43.3 per cent commercial share, also revealed an “ambitious” slate of shows for next year.
Making an appearance in the schedule is new prime-time game show, Stacks of Cash, to be hosted by Sunrise co-host Matt Shirvington.
Shane Jacobson will also be at the helm of “the ultimate quiz battle” Caught In The Middle, which will see one duo stand at the centre of a giant LED arena in an attempt to outsmart 100 opponents across 15 questions.
Parky, a feature-length documentary about celebrity interviewer Michael Parkinson, is also on the way, along with Bear Grylls Is Running Wild, which sees the British adventurer take big stars like Matthew McConaughey, Colman Domingo and Uma Thurman on a “48-hour journey of survival through home of the planet’s most unforgiving landscapes.”
In the lifestyle space, Neale Whitaker’s Forever Home will see viewers following the interior design expert and his partner David Novak-Piper as they restore a heritage-listed cottage on the NSW south coast into their “forever home”.

Moving Houses sees host Clarke Gayford, aka Mr Jacinda Ardern, “following daring homeowners on the ultimate renovation and recycling project — moving must-have homes to picture-perfect destinations”
There is also a natural history documentary, Force of Nature, narrated by Andrew Lincoln, and Chris Brown will take “well-known Australian personalities on awe-inspiring wildlife journeys across the globe” in his long-anticipated series, Once In A Lifetime.
