Footage of small tornadoes wreaking havoc in a small coastal town have proceeded serious weather warnings for parts of NSW.
Video footage of the twister showed it ploughing through the coastal town of Ulladulla, around 230km from Sydney, on Saturday as residents wrestled with massive winds.
“I’ve never seen anything like it!” a person exclaimed on the video.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning on Saturday afternoon for metropolitan Sydney, Illawarra and parts of the Central Tablelands, Hunter region, and Southern Tablelands – nearby Ulladulla.

However, the warning was cancelled for Illawarra and the Hunter region by 5.36pm, with storms in the area dissipating.
“Severe thunderstorms continue about a surface trough through central parts of the state,” the BoM reported.
“Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.
“Locations which may be affected include Sydney, Mudgee, Wellington, Kandos, Parramatta and Capertee.”
Residents of the southern coast of NSW have captured footage of a mini tornado hitting Ulladulla on Saturday October 3, 2026.
The BoM warned at 5.30pm, severe thunderstorms likely producing damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rain were recorded near Parramatta and Ryde.
They advised the storm was moving east towards Sydney City, Sydney Airport, Sydney Olympic Park, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and waters off Bondi Beach, likely reaching the CBD by 6.00pm on Saturday night.

The storm could also bring with it flash flooding in areas.
Residents near Maroubra Beach were warned the storm would progress to their region by 6.30pm.
A general thunderstorm warning remains in place for those in Central Tablelands and the Central West Slopes and Plains regions.
Residents at risk are reminded to park cars in secure cover and away from trees or powerlines and drains, secure loose outdoors items, avoid flood waters and seek refuge in the highest available area if trapped before ringing triple-0.
The SES also warn people to keep away from creeks, storm drains, fallen power lines, and energised objects and to stay away from windows indoors.
