Political analyst Shehzad Poonawala’s team has broken its silence after his physical altercation with former contestant Siwet Tomar on the reality TV show Rise and Fall 2. On Monday, the team shared a statement on Instagram thanking viewers for standing by Shehzad after the clash, which ended with Siwet being removed from the show.
The strongly worded note defended Shehzad’s conduct inside the Tower and hit back at those who, according to the team, had abused and provoked him. “They abused him, he was silent. They mocked him, he was silent. Then they hit him, he was silent (sic),” the note read.

The team went on to speak about Shehzad’s personal circumstances, saying he lost his father as a child and that his relationship with his brother has been difficult because of their ideological differences. It added that he had entered the show to “play, work and earn his livelihood” and accused others of choosing to “abuse and attack him physically from behind.”
The note also said Shehzad had responded to provocation with maturity and respect. “People are watching. You can abuse him, try to silence him or push him down, but you cannot defeat his spirit. He will rise again, every single day, stronger than before,” it further said.

What happened between Shehzad Poonawala and Siwet Tomar?
The episode began with the Ultimate Ruler race, which would decide who held the most power in the Tower and stayed safe from the week’s Fall. Before it began, the Rulers had to name the weakest decision-maker. While several chose Siwet, Karan Patel picked Shehzad.
After being eliminated from the race, Siwet got one final chance to name a weak Ruler and chose Shehzad. Their equation worsened further when Siwet was later seen with Swara Bhasker, despite previously saying he wouldn’t speak to her. Shehzad questioned the sudden change, and the argument soon turned physical.
Siwet grabbed Shehzad by the neck and pushed him down, leaving him injured and with torn clothes. Since physical violence is prohibited inside the Tower, Siwet was removed from the show.
The eviction led to another fallout, with Swara and Karan Patel questioning the decision and saying Shehzad’s provocation had contributed to the escalation. Both said they wanted to leave the show with Siwet.

Later that night, Tomar shared a video from his Instagram Live, explaining what happened before the clash and what led him to physically confront Poonawala. He said Poonawala’s constant provocation pushed him to lose his temper and grab him by the collar.
