Mumbai: Kushal Tandon has finally addressed Shreya Kalra’s claim linking her Instagram interaction with the actor to his breakup with Shivangi Joshi.
In a recent interview, Kushal firmly denied that Shreya had anything to do with the former couple’s separation. He also revealed that when he first met Shreya during a promotional shoot, Shivangi had not even entered his life.
“Shreya ka jo kehna hai ki mera aur Shivangi ka breakup unki wajah se hua, woh unki wajah se bilkul nahi hua,” Kushal said.

Recalling their first meeting, Kushal said Shreya had appeared in a passing shot for a promotional video. During the shoot, he encouraged her and told her that she was capable of doing better work instead of accepting minor appearances.
According to Kushal, it was Shreya who later contacted him on Instagram and thanked him for being kind to her during the shoot. He responded by encouraging her once again.
“She messaged me saying, ‘Thank you so much for being so nice.’ I told her, ‘You can do much better than these passing shots. Please don’t take such small roles. You are very good and your profile is very good,’” he recalled.
Kushal maintained that his message was purely professional and had been taken out of context. He added that he never spoke to Shreya after that brief exchange.
“Uske baad meri zindagi mein Shreya Kalra ji se baat nahi hui hai,” he said, adding that he did not even know her full name at the time.
Shreya’s earlier statement had sparked speculation that Kushal had contacted her while he was dating Shivangi. However, Kushal’s version presents a different timeline, with the actor insisting that their limited interaction took place before he had even met Shivangi.
