Hannah Louise Glover, 30, and James Anthony Sorgiovanni, 29, have pleaded not guilty to the murder of Tara Marie Morrison, 38, at a Busselton home in April 2024.

The pair, who were a couple, are accused of repeatedly stabbing Morrison in her head, neck, body and hands.

A woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told the court that Glover confided details about the “brutal attack” while the pair were in the same prison cell in the months after the alleged murder.

“Hannah disclosed to me about why she did it … she saw Tara give her daughter liquid fantasy (GHB),” she told the WA Supreme Court on Wednesday.

“Then Hannah told me that Jimmy held Tara’s hand behind her back and that’s when Hannah grabbed her by the hair and stabbed her in the neck.”

The woman used her right hand and made a stabbing motion three times to replicate for the jury what Glover did when they were speaking in a cell.

“She dragged Tara throughout the house,” she said.

“There was an entrance door, and she said there was, like, blood splatter on it.

“The blood that came from Tara’s body.”

Police found Morrison’s body at Glover’s home in her daughter’s wardrobe.

She had about 40 wounds, along with grazes and bruising that could indicate she was restrained.

Blood was found splattered on the walls, doors and the floor.

Glover allegedly told the woman she used four knives during the attack.

The court has previously been told Glover, Sorgiovanni and Morrison had been using illicit drugs before the killing.

Glover and Sorgiovanni had been in a relationship for a few months, and before that, Glover was in a relationship with Morrison.

“He’s a f—ing evil c—,” Glover said of Sorgiovanni in one of the covert police recordings played in court.

“He only targets single mum … because he’s psychotic.”

Glover alleged Sorgiovanni had power over her, suggesting he made her kill Morrison.

“I had no control,” she said.

“Then I got back with Tara and that made him crazy.”

Glover dabbed tears from her eyes in the dock as the recordings were played in court.

“(Morrison) was obsessed with me and it was causing stuff between me and (Sorgiovanni),” she can be heard saying in another one. “She wanted to be with me.”

Glover also said Morrison was “so f—ed up” and was using her to get access to her daughter.

She could be heard making stabbing noises on the police recording when talking about the alleged murder.

“All I wanted to do was love my baby and protect her … and now look at me, I’m not in prison,” Glover said on the recording.

The trial continues.
