Yet another ‘secret’ recording has been uncovered in the Sydney Swans Pullman Hotel saga, more than six weeks after five players were suspended amid an alleged sexual assault investigation.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting the recording contains one of the adult dancers recounting her version of the incident in which she alleges she was sexually assaulted during a lap dance at the Pullman Hotel in Melbourne on August 17.
The audio is over 20 minutes long, and is the second recording to have emerged since the incident which has seen five Sydney Swans players stood down from the Club for their involvement.
The dancer featured in the recording is one of three women who have alleged sexual assault to police.
The Telegraph is claiming that in the recording, the woman began to feel ill and experienced a “medical episode” before she was given a robe and left the hotel room.
According to the woman, she was urged to return to the hotel room, which she rejected.
Further claims suggest a payment was made to one of the women to be slapped on the buttocks a total of three times, when a fourth slap was allegedly administered without the woman’s consent.
The Telegraph is reporting neither the AFL or Sydney Swans were aware of the audio, which was recorded approximately two weeks after the incident on August 17.
The recording has since been handed to police, and the players’ defence lawyers have also been handed copies.
Out of the five Sydney Swans players, Riley Bice has been cleared by police and is now categorised as a witness.
Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, and James Jordon remain under investigation by the Sexual Crimes Squad.
The four players have always maintained their innocence and this masthead does not suggest they engaged in any wrongdoing.
Detectives involved in the case are thought to be imminently handing over evidence to the Victorian Director of Public Prosecutions by the end of October or early November, according to multiple reports.
The evidence will be assessed to determine whether any of the four players will be handed a conviction.
