A teenager has been charged after allegedly snatching a 17-year-old while she was on her way to school in Melbourne’s southeast.
Police allege a 17-year-old girl was walking to Keysborough Secondary School on Janine Rd in Springvale South about 8.30am Friday when she was approached by a teenage boy.
“The male allegedly forced the girl into a vehicle which fled the scene,” a police statement read.
Officers from the Special Operations Group later arrested a 15-year-old boy about 12pm the same day.
“It is believed the parties were known to one another,” police said.
The teenage girl was taken to hospital.
The 15-year-old boy was charged with abduction and is due to face court on Saturday.
