Two teenagers have been arrested at a Sydney school over an alleged attempted kidnapping.
Four unknown males allegedly tried to kidnap a 36-year-old man from a home in Eastwood on Thursday, police say.
The man suffered minor injuries to his leg and arm and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
Two boys were found nearby a short time later, with officers allegedly finding balaclavas, surgical gloves, duct tape and a knife when they searched them.
The pair, both aged 17, were arrested and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others, affray, and disguising their faces with the intent to commit an offence.
One of the boys was also charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
Both were granted bail to appear before a children’s court later in June, but were arrested again at their Sydney high school only days later.
They now face further charges of kidnapping with intent to cause serious bodily harm, assaulting a person as part of a criminal group and participating in the activities of a criminal group.
They were refused bail to appear before a children’s court on Wednesday.
Investigations are ongoing.
