The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Jennifer Affleck is ending her marriage to Zac Affleck after seven years, court documents have revealed.
The 27-year-old TV star and influencer filed for divorce in the Fourth Judicial District Court in Provo, Utah, according to documents obtained by ABC News on Wednesday.
She is currently pregnant with their fourth child. The pair share three other children, Nora, Luca and Penelope.
As news of the divorce broke, Jen took to Instagram to wish Nora happy birthday saying: “I can’t believe she’s already five”.
The former couple met in 2018 on a Mormon dating app called Mutual when Jen was 18, and Zac was 21 and got married a year later.
Jen rose to fame on social media for her content as a young Mormon mother and also became part of MomTok, a viral group of Utah-based mum influencers.
In 2024, she was cast in Hulu’s hit reality docuseries TSLOMW, which followed the dynamics, drama and scandals within the group.
The divorce comes after the Afflecks’ relationship has faced challenges in the past, with the pair briefly separating following season one of TSLOMW.
Their separation was a major plotline featured in season two of the show, and while they were separated, Jen discovered she was pregnant with their third child.
They continued to appear on seasons three to five of the series together.
Jen also competed on season 34 of Dancing with the Stars, where Zac was seen in the audience cheering her on.
In April, fans speculated the pair could be having some issues when Jen was seen without her wedding ring in an emotional TikTok video.
In 2024, Jen reflected on her marriage in an Instagram post, saying they were just “young, naive and inexperienced” people, who “truly had no idea what we were getting ourselves into”.
She admitted they “didn’t always see eye to eye, and a lot of times, we still don’t.”
“But that’s what marriage is, we keep trying. I truly believe there were lessons we both needed to teach each other,” she continued.
“I couldn’t have done it without Zac.
“Is Zac perfect? No. Does he have flaws that we’ve needed to address? Yes. But I can confidently say he’s always supported and believed in me more than anyone else.”
Jen is set to appear in the Mormon Wives spin-off, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County which premieres on Hulu on November 12.
