She hit the big time when her song Dance Monkey became a massive global smash hit in 2019, accumulating more than 12 billion streams and landing her the number one chart spot in over 30 countries.
Now Aussie pop superstar Tones and I is returning home to share the secrets of her success with contestants as a mentor on this year’s The Voice.
She will join returning judges, Spice Girl Melanie C, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Richard Marx, Irish pop superstar Ronan Keating and Aussie vocalist Kate Miller-Heidke in what is being described as the “biggest shake up” in the show’s history.
“One of Australia’s most successful contemporary artists, the inimitable vocalist, lyricist and producer is eager to make her mark on The Voice stage,” an official release reads.
“With a powerhouse coaching line-up and a new generation of artists ready to take the stage, The Voice 2026 is shaping up to be an unmissable season.”
In a promo for the show, released on television on Monday night, the singer is pictured taking her seat in the iconic ‘Red Chair’ with the judges seemingly unaware she is joining the show.
A voiceover says, “the superstar coaches will never see it coming.”
Details surrounding her high-profile addition to the show are being kept a secret.
Tones And I continues to enjoy a stellar career, both in Australia and internationally, where her songs continue to chart.
Her latest collaboration with Australian DJ FISHER (Paul Fisher), the catchy track ‘Favour’, is currently sitting at number one on the Billboard US dance radio charts.
The Voice is an ITV Studios Australia production for the Seven Network, which has confirmed the hit reality show will return to Seven and 7Plus screens “soon.”
