Three children were injured when a car smashed into a chicken shop in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
The white BMW ploughed into the front of Wicked Chicken on Allambie Rd in Allambie Heights shortly after 3pm on Sunday.
The three children were believed to be sitting outside the chicken shop when they were struck by the car.
9News reports indicates the driver was picking up his child and was parked in front of the shop when he accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brakes.
One of the children struck, a seven-year-old boy, sustained minor leg injuries in the crash.
“The child has been conveyed to hospital for further treatment,” a police statement read.
The two other children sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
Witness Khalid told 9News he heard a “big accident” nearby and rushed to the scene to find a young boy “on the floor” injured.
“I said to my buddy, bring me some ice, and the ambulances come, the police come,” he said.
