Delhi Police has busted a major human trafficking network and rescued 10 minor girls after conducting raids across three states. Police have arrested six accused and detained three minors in connection with the case.
The network allegedly operated through social media, where its members targeted minor girls with promises of a better life and high-paying jobs. They lured the girls with offers of employment at spa centres and hotels. Once a girl responded to their messages, the traffickers allegedly took her outside Delhi.

The case came to light on May 9, when police received a complaint about the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl. Police began investigating the case but initially found no useful clue from CCTV footage in the area.
The police then examined the girl’s mobile phone and found clues on her social media account. An account had sent her several messages promising a better life and a good salary. The investigation subsequently revealed that the girl had been taken out of Delhi.
The police traced the girl’s Instagram activity and found that she had been taken to Mundra in Gujarat. A Delhi Police team then travelled to Mundra and, with the help of local police, rescued the girl from a spa centre operating inside a hotel.
During the operation, police caught spa operators Damni, Sushil and Haresh Lakshya, along with two minors.
The investigation then led the Delhi Police team to Ballia in Uttar Pradesh. There, police rescued seven girls from Melody Spa Centre and arrested Monu, Sonu and Sanjeev Maurya.
Police subsequently reached Ganesh Nagar in East Delhi, where they rescued two more girls and arrested a woman named Khushi.
