Speaking to the media, the accused said Sachin Meena was driving the car, while his friend Sagar Meena was sitting beside him.
Sachin, considered the main accused in the case, and Sagar are still absconding. The accused said the others were following the car on a motorcycle.
Police have so far detained six people in connection with the case. The police produced Sachin’s friend Amit alias Palta, a resident of Nayabas, Mahesh, a resident of Nayabas, and Tanmay, a resident of Khadana Mohalla, before the Alwar court on Tuesday.
The investigation found that Sachin had allegedly been following the three deceased men for four days and was getting their location with the help of several associates.
A friend who was with the three men later stopped near his home and allegedly told Sachin that they were going to a hookah bar in Moti Nagar.
The accused told the media that Sachin was driving the car and that the victims were allegedly run over three times during the incident. Police said their investigation found that the accused moved the car forward and backward over the youths two to three times.
Police also found that everyone inside the car was wearing seat belts, including those sitting in the back. According to the investigation, this indicated that there was a pre-planned intention to hit the three youths with the car and kill them.
WHAT HAPPENED
On Saturday night, three youths riding a motorcycle were killed after being hit by a car near Kali Mori-Moti Nagar. The deceased were identified as Jitendra alias Chhotu Rajput, 22, Yuvraj alias Yuvi Saini, 21, and Himanshu Sharma, 22. The three were childhood friends and lived in the Chor Dungri area.
Their families refused to accept that the incident was an accident and alleged that the three had been deliberately killed. A prolonged protest and road blockade followed outside the hospital, with members of the Brahmin community, Sarva Samaj and other organisations joining the protest.
The families alleged that the three youths were deliberately run over as part of a conspiracy stemming from an old rivalry.
Police are searching for Sachin Meena and Sagar Meena, who are considered the main accused. Police said all the accused would be arrested soon and that the investigation was continuing.
The president of Karni Sena also released a video warning that the organisation would stage protests and take to the streets if the accused were not arrested. The families and members of the community had also given the police an ultimatum to arrest the accused at the earliest.
