Dubai-based Indian-origin businessman and Desi Bling star Satish Sanpal and his wife, Tabinda, have reportedly had their assets attached and bank accounts frozen in the UAE amid an investigation into suspected financial transactions.
The UAE’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) has directed banks, financial institutions and virtual asset service providers in the country to block funds and digital assets linked to Sanpal and his wife. The action comes as UAE authorities investigate suspected cases of money laundering and alleged terror financing.

The financial authorities are also examining Sanpal’s records and transactions as part of the ongoing probe. No formal charges have been announced against him by a court so far.
Sanpal, who is based in Dubai, is known to Indian audiences for his appearance on Netflix’s reality show Desi Bling. The series featured wealthy Indian families and personalities living in Dubai and focused on their personal lives and relationships.
Who is Satish Sanpal?
Sanpal is originally from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. He is the chairman of Dubai-based NX Holding, with business interests spanning real estate, hospitality and financial markets.
His luxury lifestyle was also featured on Desi Bling. Sanpal lives with his family in a residence in Dubai’s Burj Khalifa and owns several luxury cars, including Rolls-Royce vehicles.
The businessman has been counted among Dubai’s prominent Indian-origin business personalities, with his public profile receiving greater attention following his appearance on the Netflix reality show.
What is the investigation about?
The UAE’s FIU has reportedly asked banks, financial institutions and virtual asset service providers to block Sanpal’s funds and digital assets while the investigation continues.
