A man was injured after falling from the balcony of his house while trying to buy ice cream from a street vendor passing on the road below in Uttar Pradesh’s Sonbhadra district.
The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred when the man who was standing on the balcony of the first floor of his house, suddenly felt like having ice cream after spotting the vendor passing by.

He called the vendor over and placed an order, but instead of coming downstairs, asked the seller to hand over the ice cream from below.
As the vendor stretched upward to pass the ice cream and the man leaned over the edge of the balcony to receive it, he lost his balance and fell straight to the ground.
His fall triggered panic in the area, with family members and nearby residents rushing to help him moments later. The injured man was taken to a hospital for treatment, where he is undergoing medical care. Police said his condition is stable.
Responding to the viral CCTV footage, Sonbhadra Police said, “It is to be informed that the person appearing in the viral video has sustained injuries which are being treated at the hospital. The situation is currently normal, and there are no issues related to law and order.”
What began as a simple ice cream purchase turned into a frightening accident, narrowly avoiding tragedy.
