West Coast ruckman Matt Flynn is a chance to play his first game since round four after being included in the 26-man squad to take on Greater Western Sydney at ENGIE Stadium on Sunday.

Flynn, second-year wingman Hamish Davis and former Adelaide midfielder Harry Schoenberg have all been listed as potential additions to the Eagles’ outfit which lost to Collingwood at Optus Stadium on Sunday.

Eagles coach Andrew McQualter is yet to name any outs, with Flynn, Davis and Schoenberg all added to an extended bench alongside Josh Lindsay, Tom McCarthy, Bo Allan, Tom Cole and Jack Williams.

West Coast will fly to Sydney on Friday morning with the final 23 to be named later that afternoon.

Out-of-contract at the end of the season, Flynn has been in stellar form for the WAFL since being dropped after the Eagles’ disastrous 128-point defeat to Sydney at Optus Stadium.

The 28-year-old was added to the leadership group over the summer but fell out of favour after only four games, with Bailey Williams taking the mantle as the club’s No.1 ruckman after his start to the year was hindered by injury.

Davis has not played since he was dropped after the round 20 derby defeat, while one-time Crows inside bull Schoenberg will be looking to play his sixth game for the Eagles and first since round eight, with the 25-year-old also out of contract in the coming weeks.

The Giants will make at least two changes from the side that was upset by Gold Coast in Canberra with defender Jayden Laverde (lung) and Xavier O’Halloran (hamstring) both out injured.

Claremont product Cody Angove is one of five potential inclusions alongside Jack Ough, Jake Riccardi, Conor Stone and Toby McMullin.

Meanwhile, McQualter confirmed earlier in the day pressure forward Jack Hutchinson would make his return from injury through the WAFL this weekend when they take on Peel Thunder down in Mandurah.
