Police are investigating after a woman’s body was found in a bin at a unit building in Brisbane’s inner-city.
Officers received reports a human body had been found unresponsive at a building on Lambert Street in Kangaroo Point just after 11.50am on Friday.
The as-yet unidentified woman was declared dead when emergency teams arrived at the scene.
About 1pm police declared a crime scene, cordoning off the entrance to an underground car park where a garbage truck was parked.
A huge number of officers were present, with apartment tower occupants being interviewed one-on-one.
Shortly after 3pm, two forensic officers wearing blue suits entered the car park.
Officers told reporters at the time it was too early to say if the death was suspicious.
“Investigations into the circumstances around the sudden death remain ongoing,” a statement from police said.
Multiple police remained at the scene on Friday afternoon.
