A Shiv Sena youth leader was thrashed by a group of women workers inside a police station in Thane due to a monetary dispute. CCTV footage of the assault is going viral on social media.
Siddhesh Abhange had gone to the Kopri police station along with the women textile workers to resolve a financial dispute.
However, the matter escalated into a heated argument inside the station premises.

A businesswoman, accompanied by an associate, assaulted Abhange during the altercation, police said.
The incident was captured on CCTV, and footage of the assault has since surfaced on social media.
On-duty police personnel intervened and separated the two sides, bringing the situation under control.
The incident briefly triggered tension in the area.
Police said the process of registering an FIR was underway and statements from both sides were being recorded as part of the investigation.
