Following a complaint that claimed a fake death certificate was requested to remove a living person’s name from the electoral roll during the Special Intensive Revision ( SIR ) process, an FIR was registered against Vijayapura City MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal.
At the Jalnagar police station, Abdul Razak Bagawan, a native of Bagawan Colony in Vijayapura, lodged the issue. He claimed to be a registered vote in the Vijayapura City Assembly district and that he is still active, has jobs, and lives in the city.
Yatnal reportedly requested the Vijayapura Municipal Corporation Commissioner’s SIR Form 7 on September 3 to remove Bagawan’s name from the voter list by attaching a supposedly fake death certificate to the document on file. Bagawan has alleged that the motion was intended to revoke his name from the electoral roll and has filed a lawsuit against the MLA.
Kind 7 applications submitted during the ongoing SIR training in Karnataka are being closely watched more closely, according to the complaint. On a specific basis, a voter can request the removal of their name from the electoral roll using Type 7.
false Kind 7s are the subject of complaints.
Girish Patil, a BJP corporator and Yatnal supporter, has even received a separate issue in Vijayapura. Javed Indikar, 32, a native of Nisar Madda, contacted the Gandhi Chowk authorities, alleging that a fake document was created to demand that his name be removed from the electoral roll using Type 7.
In addition, Hajilal Kottalagi, 68, complained to the Tikota police depot, and six persons have been arrested there. Bhimu Golasangi, Vinayak Mamadapur, Mahesh Mukartihal, Anand Ambiger, Huchappa Ganiger, and Govind Mudanur have been identified as the accused.
Kottalagi claimed that a Shape 7 request was made to request that his name be removed because he did not reside at the address listed. He further claimed that his title was targeted because he is Muslim and that false records were used.
The SIR approach and Form 7 application scrutiny have been the subject of renewed scrutiny in the cases. According to the complaints, police are then required to investigate the allegations and confirm the authenticity of the documents presented. The allegations are made in an effort to reduce eligible voters who used false or fabricate information.
