Zara Larsson deserves to be selling out stadiums around the globe after she delivered a showstopping Perth concert that ticked all the boxes.
From stunning costumes, brilliant song choices, insanely talented dancers and mesmerising visuals, the Swedish pop sensation pulled out all the stops for her Midnight Sun show at RAC Arena on Tuesday night.
The 28-year-old emerged on stage at 9pm to a sea of screaming fans all dressed to mirror Larsson’s colourful, summer aesthetic inspired by Y2K fashion and mermaid core.
She stole the spotlight in a glittery green-blue outfit and matching eye makeup, where she launched into her song Midnight Sun, the title track off her 2025 album.
Flanked by her group of all-women dancers and musicians, Larsson’s powerhouse vocals left the audience in awe of her seemingly effortless talent.
Her dancing skills were equally impressive as she pulled off insane dance moves and showcased her flexibility while wearing high heels.
It’s no surprise her 90-minute performance was flawless, as Larsson has been preparing for this moment since she was 17 and “ready for life”, she told the crowd.
“I’ve been wanting to do this my whole life,” she continued.
“When I was younger, I was impatient and wanted things to happen immediately, but now I know good things take time. It’s hard when you’re 17 and ready for life.”
Larsson admitted she has big life goals — which she sung about in The Ambition — and said she hoped to see her Perth fans inside a stadium for her next tour.

She kept the party going by performing new hits like Blue Moon, Pretty Ugly, Girl’s Girl, Eurosummer, Hot and Sexy, Saturn’s Return and Puss Puss — which means “kiss, kiss” in Swedish.
Nostalgia washed over the millennial fans in the crowd when she performed throwback club classics such as Never Forget You, I Would Like and Ain’t My Fault, all released between 2016 and 2017.
One of the most anticipated songs of the night was 2015 hit Lush Life, for which she pulled a fan at random out of the crowd to join her on stage.
The stars aligned for superfan Bailee Nathan, who was selected for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and did a solid job dancing to the song.
Another element that made the show so engaging was the stage visuals.
Behind the stage, a huge LED screen lit up with stunning nature and cityscape backgrounds to match the vibe of each song.
It was also really heartwarming to see an artist set aside dedicated time to introduce and honour her dancers and band made up of bass, guitar, keys and drums.

Larsson made sure to include an honorary “Aussie, Aussie Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi” before going full circle and wrapping up her spectacle with Midnight Sun again.
There’s no question that Larsson has certainly nailed the perfect formula to a successful headline act.
Her commanding stage presence is undeniable and her ability to hit a high note after an intense dance break is impeccable.
Larsson’s passionate fans are surely counting down the days they will get to see her again — next time at Optus Stadium, fingers crossed.
The verdict
Five out five stars
