This year’s Telethon Home is set to make a real splash with Fat Cat and 2025 Little Telethon Star Jordan on hand to help the installation of a swimming pool this week.
The pool is shaping as a stand-out attraction in the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home’s feature front garden, which will take pride of place on a nearly 600sqm block overlooking the Ellen Brook Foreshore Reserve in Upper Swan.
Those involved with the home’s construction hope the addition will draw even more interest from prospective buyers when the home goes to market ahead of the Telethon weekend in October.
The general manager of home builder Blueprint Homes, Craig Park, said suppliers from across the building industry had rallied to support this year’s home.
“We are incredibly grateful to all of those who have joined with us in helping create a beautiful home,” he said.
The pool was donated by manufacturer Aqua Technics Pools, whose managing director Lynley Papineau said it was a privilege to play a part in WA’s iconic fundraiser.
“We are honoured to be involved in the 2026 Telethon Home and to play a small part in supporting the incredible work Telethon does,” she said.
“The outdoor area has been thoughtfully designed for family living and entertaining, and we’re delighted our pool will help complete that vision.”
The 2026 Telethon home is the second to be built in the Clementine Estate, in Upper Swan, with the first selling for $1.175 million in 2024.
Construction of this year’s home is progressing well, with a roof recently being placed and interior fittings now being installed.
Nigel Satterley, whose property development firm Satterley has donated the home for Telethon, said the addition of the pool would undoubtedly boost its appeal. “The home has been designed to embrace indoor-outdoor living, and the pool will be a fantastic addition for the future owners,” Mr Satterley said.
“We continue to be blown away by the generosity of local businesses who want to support Telethon through this project.”
All proceeds from the home sale will go towards Telethon, with the final figure to be revealed during Telethon Weekend on October 17 and 18.
