Three students from Telangana were killed in a road accident in Brevard County, Florida, on Tuesday. The crash occurred on Interstate 95 near mile marker 172 in Palm Bay. According to preliminary information, the vehicle carrying the students veered off the highway, hit a tree and caught fire. The victims were travelling to their part-time workplace when the accident occurred.
One of the deceased has been identified as N. Rahul, a native of Navipet in Nizamabad district, Telangana. Rahul had travelled to the United States around three months ago for higher studies. He had completed his master’s degree and had enrolled for a PhD at the University of South Florida while also looking for employment.

The driver and the front-seat passenger reportedly died at the scene, while Rahul was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The identities of the other two victims have not yet been officially disclosed.
Rahul’s family has appealed to the Telangana and Central governments for assistance in bringing his mortal remains back to India. The Telugu Association of North America (TANA) is reportedly coordinating with authorities regarding the necessary formalities and repatriation.
The family said they received information about the tragedy early Wednesday morning. Rahul had reportedly spoken to his mother shortly before his friends arrived to pick him up for work.
