Hyderabad: A habit criminal who had recently been released on parole and wanted to visit his father’s grave in Karnataka allegedly stole a vehicle from a Pista House outlet’s valet parking, according to police on Wednesday, August 26.
Haji Mazher, a native of Rangareddy region, has been identified as the accused’s 30-year-old identity.
Mazher has recently been charged with a number of violent and house crimes, and has also served time in jail.
Mazher reportedly wanted to visit his father’s grave in Karnataka’s Bidar city as Milad un Nabi was approaching. He reportedly made the decision to commit fraud because he allegedly did not have the money to travel.
He visited a Pista House store close to wall number 169 on August 22 and drove there from Attapur Police Station. He apparently noticed there that the valet parking attendants kept all of the customer’s keys at the desk.
He reportedly stole two secrets from the desk while the team was active and reportedly walked around trying to identify the cars. He allegedly fled with the car after noticing the lighting of an i20 vehicle flashing from the store and putting the other keys away.
The accused was later detained in accordance with Section 305( b ) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita ( BNS), which prohibits theft in a dwelling home, or other means of transportation or places of worship.
The authorities recovered the vehicle and one computer. The vehicle also contained two golden bands that each weighed 11 ounces, which have not been recovered.
Mazher has recently been detained at the Sanathnagar, Langer House, and Gudimalkapur authorities facilities. He was detained in Sangareddy and taken back to the Kandi Jail in 2024.
