A Delhi Police Head Constable was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a hotel in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, with police registering a case against her fellow Head Constable, who was allegedly in a relationship with her.
Police suspect that Head Constable Aditi died by suicide based on their initial inspection. However, no final conclusion has been reached, and the post-mortem and forensic reports are expected to provide further clarity.

According to Aditi’s family, she was distressed after learning that the fellow officer Sachin, with whom she had developed a relationship, was already married.
Aditi’s father alleged that Sachin had concealed his marital status from her and continued to remain in contact with her. He also alleged that Sachin repeatedly assured Aditi that he would marry her. According to the complaint, Aditi took the extreme step after Sachin’s promise to marry her fell through.
Police registered a case based on the complaint filed by Aditi’s father.
According to police, Aditi, who is currently posted at a police station in Shahdara, checked into Hotel Royal Blue in Ghaziabad at around 7 pm on August 15. Sachin arrived at the hotel at around 10 pm but later left the premises.
Her body was found by hotel employees the following day. Police were subsequently informed, and the body was sent for post-mortem examination after forensic procedures.
During the investigation, police found that Aditi and Sachin had visited the hotel repeatedly. According to police, the two had stayed at the hotel around 30 times this year.
Police have taken the hotel register, CCTV footage and other documents into custody and are examining them to establish the circumstances surrounding their previous visits and meetings.
The complaint filed by Aditi’s father has led investigators to examine Sachin’s marital status, his relationship with Aditi, their communications and the circumstances leading up to her death.
Investigators are also examining mobile phone data, call records, messages and other electronic evidence. CCTV footage and the hotel register are being scrutinised to establish the sequence of events before Aditi’s death.
Police officials said the allegations made in the complaint are being investigated impartially. The findings of the post-mortem, forensic examination and analysis of electronic evidence will be considered as part of the probe.
Police said further action against Sachin will be based on the facts that emerge during the investigation. The probe is currently focused on establishing the circumstances surrounding Aditi’s interactions with Sachin before her death and determining the actual cause of death.
