Uri Geller has claimed he could “clone” U.S. president Donald Trump because he has a lock of his hair.

The illusionist and self-proclaimed psychic regularly hits headlines thanks to his outrageous claims, and in an interview with The Sunday Times newspaper, he did it once again.

He stated: “I have his hair; I could clone him.”

Uri has a history of focusing on celebrities, and has stuck to his assertion that Michael Jackson is entirely innocent of the child abuse claims that have blighted his career.

He explained in the interview that while Michael, who died in 2009, had enlisted his services to help stop him eating junk food, Uri decided to do something “highly unethical”.

Uri said: “I hypnotised Michael Jackson. I [took] him deep into a very deep [state], and then I did something very, very highly unethical…

“I suddenly asked him under hypnosis, ‘Mike, Michael, did you ever touch a child in an inappropriate manner?’

“And he, under deep hypnosis, answered, ‘No, I would never do that.’ And then I asked him, ‘Well, why did you pay off a child millions?’ And he answered back, ‘Because I couldn’t take it any more.’ So to me, that was a private validation.”

He insisted: “This man is totally innocent.”

Uri initially found fame for his ability to “bend spoons” – a talent he says he discovered at the age of six, when he bent his soup spoon using just his mind while eating his mother’s vegetable soup.

He added: “I never get bored of bending spoons, or fixing a broken watch.”

Uri also insisted that he will always be adamant “till the day I die” that what he does is “real”.

He concluded: “This is an act that no one can forget.”

The magician’s interview came after he said he had “harnessed” the “supernatural energies” of a crystal skull he had “discovered telepathically many years ago” – to ensure that the England football team would proceed to the quarter finals of the World Cup.

Writing on Facebook in the hours before England’s match against Mexico, he said: “This relic, which could even be of alien origin, was discovered telepathically by me many years ago hidden deep inside a Mayan pyramid. I plan to harness its supernatural energies to see England through to the quarter-finals.

“Look, I am no miracle worker nor a prophet but I will do my best to achieve my goal!”

It seems Uri’s talents are real, as England beat Mexico 3-2 to proceed to the quarter finals of the football tournament.
