Molly Mayhem hopes there will be a Nightmare Realm movie.

The model-and-entertainer is gearing up to scare people in London for the first time as the popular immersive horror attraction makes its UK debut next month, and she’d love to bring her antics to a wider audience with a big screen outing.

She said: “A small dream of mine is to be an actress in a big horror movie! Who knows? Maybe The Nightmare Realm will release a horror movie starring yours truly!”

Molly actually had a fear of horror movies before she became a scare actor but forced herself to overcome her terror in order to improve her own performances and become an “unfortgettable” part of the attraction.

She admitted: “Anytime I watched a horror movie, I had to turn on Spongebob immediately after. It wasn’t until I became a Scare Actor, that I thought I needed to embrace it rather than cower away from it.

“How else was I going to improve my skill? After every shift, I was always thinking how could I be better, how can I do a scare differently and most importantly how do I become unforgettable?

“Maybe it’s the perfectionist in me, but the only way I figured I could do it was by watching horror movies. They are the best to get inspiration from!

“Nowadays, rather than hiding behind a pillow, I will be admiring the actors in horror franchises and how the directors within the films portray certain scenes.”

However, Molly admitted she sometimes still feels uneasy after a scary film.

She said: “Compared to when I started, I definitely handle fear better but there are still times after some horror movies, that I have to put cartoons on to calm down.

“However, at The Nightmare Realm, I have been there so long that nothing inside the experiences scare me anymore! Maybe it helps that since working full time with The Nightmare Realm, I’ve been involved more with the behind the scenes, so I know what’s coming before guests do!”

And she recalled a time she “froze” during a night’s scaring at The Nightmare Realm when she was confronted by a reveller dressed as Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Kruger.

She said: “There has only been one time when I was truly terrified at The Nightmare Realm and that was back in 2017. It was Halloween night, and of course we love to encourage guests to dress up while they visit! But I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a guy come into my area, dressed as Freddy Kruger…I actually froze!

“Honestly, blame my Grandad. Apparently he thought it was a great idea to let a seven year old watch a horror movie. I was traumatised for YEARS and had endless nightmares because of it.

“So imagine me, years later, supposed to be the one doing the scaring, only to see the same character who had kept me up at night for years standing right in front of me.

“Safe to say, Freddy won that round.”
