Logitech has started manufacturing and assembling products in India as the company looks to strengthen its presence in the country. The company has partnered with domestic manufacturers to set up local production in Manesar, Haryana. The move is part of Logitech’s efforts to support the government’s Make in India initiative while responding faster to the growing demand for its products. The company says local manufacturing will also help reduce delivery times and improve supply chain operations.

Announcing the development on October 15, Logitech said the initial phase of manufacturing will focus on popular products from its webcam and pointing device categories. The company has not yet shared the names of the products that will be manufactured locally.

Logitech expands its India operations

The new manufacturing setup adds another layer to Logitech’s existing operations in India. The company already has a presence in the country through its sales channels, marketing operations and Global Capability Center in Chennai, which supports research and development.

With local assembly now underway, Logitech aims to bring its manufacturing operations closer to Indian customers. This could help the company respond more quickly to changes in demand and reduce the time taken to deliver products to the market.

The expansion comes as India continues to see growth in internet connectivity and PC sales. Logitech noted that the country had nearly 970 million internet subscriptions and close to 16 million PC sales in 2025. The company sees this growing digital adoption as an opportunity to expand its business across workspaces and personal computing accessories.

Logitech says manufacturing products closer to the markets where they are sold can help simplify supply chains and improve delivery timelines. Local assembly could also make it easier for the company to adjust production according to demand in India.

The company expects the expansion to support its sustainability efforts as well. Shorter supply routes can help reduce freight-related emissions and improve domestic logistics efficiency.

The new manufacturing operations could also contribute to the local industrial ecosystem by creating demand for technical expertise in areas such as quality engineering, plant management, logistics and vendor integration.
