Vohra is the husband of AAP councillor Hema Vohra from the Jaitpur ward.

The arrest follows an FIR registered at Kalindi Kunj police station on July 31 in connection with allegations of illegal occupation of the property and criminal threats against the complainant, Rakesh Kumar.

According to the FIR, Kumar, son of Kanchi Ram, alleged that he had allowed Vohra to use his property temporarily. The property is located at A-835A/10 in Jaitpur Extension Part-II on Nala Road.

Kumar alleged that despite repeatedly asking Vohra to vacate the property, the possession was not returned.

According to the contents of the FIR, Kumar also alleged that items kept on the first floor of the property were removed and that he was allegedly subjected to criminal threats.

The case was registered as FIR number 0458 on July 31, 2026, under Sections 329(4) and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police records cited in the complaint indicate that the case concerns the alleged continued occupation of Kumar’s property as well as the alleged threats made to him.

The police registered the FIR after examining the complaint, documents and conducting a local inquiry, following which a prima facie case was found, according to the FIR material.

Vohra is the husband of Hema Vohra, an AAP councillor representing the Jaitpur ward in Delhi. He is also a member of the party’s National Council.

The allegations relate to a property dispute involving Rakesh Kumar, who is described in the complaint as an AAP worker.

Police arrested Vohra from Gwalior in connection with the case, according to sources.

The FIR alleges that Kumar had initially allowed Vohra temporary use of the plot but that Vohra allegedly continued to occupy it despite repeated requests to vacate it.

The case also includes allegations of threats, with the police invoking Section 351(2) of the BNS along with Section 329(4).

The allegations in the FIR are yet to be established in court.
