The Crows have stood tall in the last term beating the Demons at Adelaide Oval.

It took a big effort for the Crows who trailed to start the final term before Josh Rachele and Riley Thilthorpe kicked vital goals to secure the win.

The Dees battled hard behind another elite performance from Max Gawn and Harvey Langford but Kysaiah Pickett had a rare bad day struggling to get possessions in places he could make an impact.

This could prove a huge win as the Crows look to stack up points and confidence for a run to the finals.

Riley Thilthorpe has marked and kicked a vital goal with five minutes left to play.

But the vital work was done at half-back where the Crows pressured the Dees into a turnover before they ran it down the other end.

The game isn’t over but the Crows are in control.

Crows skipper Jordan Dawson had kicked 17.1 for the season and he took a mark 35m out.

Amazingly, he missed his shot for goal.

Crows 64, Dees 62 with seven mins to go.

Max Gawn has been stuck on the bench for several minutes as play was far from the interchange bench.

While he has been off, the Crows have had the ball pinned in their forward half and they’ve taken a one-point lead following a rush behind.

The Dees are holding up pretty well in defence but it is wearing them down. Gawn has now entered the play.

Crows ruckman Lachlan McAndrew is as tough as nails as he has returned to the field after passing his head injury assessment.

McAndrew took a painful elbow to the cheek and he is clearly sore but he is fighting on – this is one of the reasons the Crows love him.

But Matthew Jefferson has booted his second goal for the Dees who are back ahead.

Dees 62, Crows 61 with 15 mins to go.

Josh Rachele has stepped up to start the last term holding his body weight to take some contact and then snap a goal over his shoulder.

The Crows lead early in the last term – the side who is most efficient with their scoring chances will win this match.

The Dees need to get a handle on Rachele.

Mark Ricciuto has updated fans with more positive news about Tony Modra.

Late in the third term, Ricciuto revealed that Modra had woken up after undergoing marathon facial surgery and he was with his family in the hospital.

Ricciuto added that the Modra family wanted to thank all the people who had offered them good wishes and support since Modra’s truck accident earlier in the week.

The Dees hold a tight lead going into the last term and they will need to try and power ahead to start the last term as ruckman Max Gawn will likely be facing an understudy with McAndrew off the ground.

There is nothing in it at Adelaide Oval heading into the last term. Who wants to snatch this win?

Crows ruckman Lachlan McAndrew has gone down with a painful elbow to the head in a marking contest with Jake Lever from the Demons.

McAndrews was taken straight to the rooms, he will likely miss the first 10 minutes of the final term as he is likely receiving a concussion test.

But the Crows will likely have to use Riley Thilthorpe in the ruck for much of the last term.
