A biker in Guwahati noticed a little boy riding without a helmet and did not just point it out. He stopped, offered him a child-sized Tom and Jerry helmet and left his mother with a simple request, to make him wear it every time.
The biker was Instagram content creator Leki Goswami, who captured the interaction on video. In the clip, Goswami can be seen riding alongside the woman and her son before offering the child the helmet.

“Didi, I have a small helmet. Can I give it to the boy? It’s a child’s helmet,” Goswami tells the woman.
He then asked her to make sure her son wore it whenever she took him to school. His concern was particularly tied to the road conditions in Guwahati, where heavy rain can leave roads waterlogged and make potholes difficult to spot.
“With the kind of rain we’re getting in Guwahati, roads can get waterlogged and there could be potholes anywhere,” he said.

Goswami explained that a child wearing a helmet could be better protected if the scooter encountered a pothole or an unexpected patch of damaged road. Rather than turning the moment into a lecture, he simply offered the boy something practical that could make his rides safer.
The helmet itself added a cheerful touch to the exchange. It featured characters from Tom and Jerry, giving the young boy a fun piece of protective gear rather than something he might see as a chore.
Goswami’s gesture was small, but his message was clear. A helmet is just as important for a child sitting on the back of a scooter as it is for the person riding it.
The video has since received plenty of reactions online, with viewers appreciating Goswami for stopping to help a child he did not know.
For many, the moment stood out precisely because there was no grand gesture involved, just one commuter noticing another road user, sharing what he had and making a simple request to keep a child safer.
