Twenty seasons, countless controversies and enough house drama to become a pop-culture institution, Bigg Boss is entering its legacy year. As Salman Khan gets ready to return with the 20th season of the reality show, the casting is already generating buzz.
India Today has exclusively learnt that Mahhi Vij, Gullu aka Kushal Tanwar, Arshifa Khan, Kanika Mann, Isha Rikhi and Qazi Touqeer are among the confirmed names locked for Bigg Boss 20.

Mahhi Vij, known for Balika Vadhu and Laagi Tujhse Lagan, brings years of television experience to the house. The actor was recently in the news for separating from her husband, Jay Bhanushali, who, interestingly, was a contestant in Season 15. Mahhi’s close association with Salman Khan could add another dynamic to the show.
On the other hand, Qazi Touqeer will add a dose of nostalgia to the season. The singer became a household name after winning Fame Gurukul in 2005. Isha Rikhi, the Punjabi actor who has also been in the news for her reported relationship with rapper Badshah, is another confirmed name.
Kanika Mann, meanwhile, is familiar to reality-show audiences through Khatron Ke Khiladi, apart from her popular television stint in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. Arshifa Khan, who started out as a child actor, has since built a massive social media following. Gullu aka Kushal Tanwar, too, comes with a reality-TV connection, having participated in Roadies.
Love Gill and Rhiya Ahir, meanwhile, have been introduced to viewers through the show’s pre-launch Janta Ka Faisla twist. As per sources, both of them will get a chance to enter the house.
Bigg Boss 20: Who else could enter the house?
While these names have been locked, a much larger list of celebrities is doing the rounds ahead of the September 6 premiere. The rumoured pool includes Naagin star Mouni Roy, who could be the star entrant this season. Another anticipated entry is that of Rhea Chakraborty’s brother, Showik Chakraborty, who was jailed along with the actor in the aftermath of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
Faisal Khan, Aamir Khan’s brother, is also among the names being discussed. He has previously appeared in films including Mela and Dhobi Ghat and has spoken publicly about his difficult relationship with his family. Mary Kom is perhaps the most unexpected name on the list. The Olympic medallist and six-time world champion boxer would bring a sporting background rarely seen inside the Bigg Boss house.
Yung Dsa, the rapper and digital personality, is also rumoured to be part of the season. Meanwhile, former couple Karan Wahi and Uditi Singh are said to enter the house and could add much more drama with their equation. Television actors Khushi Dubey and Aman Gandhi, and model Rohed Khan, are also among the names circulating. Panchayat fame Aasif Khan is also said to enter Bigg Boss 20.
The season could also see strong regional representation. Amrapali Dubey, one of the biggest names in Bhojpuri cinema, is reportedly in the mix. Geeta Basra, actor and former cricketer Harbhajan Singh’s wife, is another name that has surfaced in reports.
Lock Upp fame Anjali Arora, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan stars Parth Samthaan and Niti Taylor, actors Deepika Singh, Yukti Kapoor and Pranali Rathod, and comedian Sunil Pal are also among the contenders.
Bigg Boss 20 will premiere on September 6 and air on Colors and JioHotstar.
