WA-raised Carlton captain Patrick Cripps and wife Monique have revealed they are expecting their second child together in December this year.
The pair welcomed their daughter Koda in early 2024 and had not been overly public about the mother’s latest pregnancy in recent weeks.
On Monday night at the Brownlow Medal red carpet, the couple were interviewed by roaming duo Rory Lobb and his wife Lexi for the Herald Sun where they declared their off-season plans.
“Another one on the way, December, so we’re pretty low-key from November onwards back in Melbourne because Mon won’t be able to fly,” Cripps said.
“But we’ll just go back to see the family in Perth — a real chilled one this year.”
Monique wore a black Cappellazzo Couture gown, with her beau donning a classic black tuxedo.
Cripps — a two-time winner of the prestigious award — finished equal fifth in the count, behind runaway leader Nick Daicos who finished with a record 47 votes.
In August, the veteran’s daughter was seen walking out in a number 9 Blues Guernsey alongside him as he celebrated his 250th game.
Cripps and his cousin Jamie — a newly retired Eagle — hail from the regional WA town of Northampton, roughly 460km north of Perth.
Other players the town has produced include Josh Kennedy, Harry Taylor, and Paul Hasleby.
