The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will today, September 1, close the application window for CTET 2026 exam. Candidates yet to register for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) September 2026 exam can apply through the official CTET website, ctet.nic.in.
The CTET application window was reopened on August 25 for eligible candidates who could not register during the original application period, which ended on June 10. CBSE extended the deadline to September 1 as part of the reopened registration process. Candidates who had already successfully submitted their applications earlier do not need to register again.

CTET SEPTEMBER 2026: HOW TO APPLY
Candidates can follow these steps to complete the CTET September 2026 application process:
- Visit the official website, ctet.nic.in.
- Click on the CTET September 2026 application link on the homepage.
- Register by entering the required details.
- Log in using the registration credentials.
- Fill out the CTET application form with the required personal and academic details.
- Upload the required documents, including the scanned photograph and signature.
- Pay the applicable examination fee through the available online payment modes.
- Submit the application form and download the confirmation page.
- Keep a printout or digital copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
Candidates should ensure that the details entered in the form match their official documents. The CTET information bulletin also specifies that the scanned photograph should be in JPG/JPEG format and between 10 KB and 100 KB, while the signature should be between 3 KB and 30 KB.
The CTET September 2026 examination was originally scheduled for September 6. However, CBSE has postponed the examination, and the revised exam date has not yet been announced. Candidates should therefore wait for the board’s official notification regarding the new schedule.
The CTET is conducted for candidates seeking eligibility to teach Classes 1 to 8. Candidates can appear for Paper I, Paper II, or both, depending on the level for which they meet the prescribed eligibility requirements.
