On November 2, in Tripura’s Sepahijala district, four BSF personnel were beaten up in a clash with locals during an anti-smuggling drive. Following this, nine people were arrested.
Several videos alleging to show action against the accused are now going viral. In this article, we will debunk three such videos.

THIS VIDEO IS FROM WEST BENGAL
This video shows a woman being dragged by two female police officers into a vehicle on a road.
Reverse-searching frames from the video led us to a November 3 report by a Bengali news outlet, Manusher Motamot ( https://manushermotamoth.com/2026/11/03/aadalter-nirdeshe-pulisher-abhiyan-jmi-ni-e-tanapod-en-j-ga-lyandport-ghire-kii-ghtl/ ), which featured the video. It said the police arrested several activists protesting against the construction of a land port in the Gotibari area of Jaigaon, West Bengal.
We also found the video shared on the Facebook account Jaigaon Voice News on November 2. This post also stated that the videos showed tension over land port construction.
According to a November 5 report by The Hindu, locals have been peacefully protesting for 100 days over construction at the Land Ports Authority of India site in Gotabari. Eleven people, including four women and seven men from tribal communities, were arrested. They have been demanding rehabilitation and compensation.
ARREST OF BANGLADESHI MIGRANTS
This video shows several people marching in a line with soldiers around them.
We found this video published by several news outlets, such as AK Bangla 24×7 Digital and NKTV Bangla Assam & Northeast on October 7. As per these outlets, the video showed the arrest of Bangladeshi migrants.
According to a report published by Kolkata24x7 on October 7, the BSF arrested 25 Bangladeshi nationals and an Indian broker in South Dinajpur, West Bengal, who were crossing the border illegally and returning to Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Pratidin also reported on the same date that 25 suspected Bangladeshi nationals and an Indian broker were arrested in South Dinajpur, West Bengal.
THIS IS FROM BANGLADESH
This video shows two men handcuffed. One of them can be seen pleading and being slapped.
Bangladeshi news outlet Prothom Alo published a longer version of it in a November 3 report. According to it, police arrested garment workers who were protesting for a minimum monthly wage in Bangladesh’s Gazipur.
According to another Bangladeshi news outlet, The Daily Star, the police arrested 22 people for arson and vandalism during protests by garment workers in Gazipur.
Thus, we conclude that neither of these videos have anything to do with Tripura.
