Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge has entered the Grammy conversation, with T-Series and B62 Studios promoting the film’s soundtrack and several songs for consideration across multiple categories. The campaign centres on composer Shashwat Sachdev’s work and puts tracks such as Phir Se, Aari Aari and Jaiye Sajana in the spotlight.

The push gives the film’s music international visibility, but it does not amount to a nomination. The entries will still have to meet the Recording Academy’s eligibility requirements and go through its voting process before they can move ahead in the awards race.

Sachdev is credited on the campaign listing for Dhurandhar: The Revenge under Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, a category that recognises the film’s soundtrack as a collective body of work.

Several songs from the film have also been submitted in individual categories. Phir Se has been listed under Best Song Written for Visual Media, while Jaan Se Guzarte Hai and Kanhaiyya feature under Best Global Music Performance. Aari Aari has been put forward under Best Asian Pop Music Performance.

The campaign also includes Jaiye Sajana under Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Destiny – Mann Atkeya under Best Rap Performance, Vaari Jaavan under Best Dance/Electronic Recording, and Hum Pyaar Karne Wale under Best Remixed Recording.

Aditya Dhar at National Film Awards

The Grammy campaign comes at a time when director Aditya Dhar is also drawing attention for his work elsewhere. Dhar recently attended the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony in Kevadia, Gujarat, with his wife, Yami Gautam.

Gautam won the Best Actress award for her performance in Article 370, which Dhar produced. When asked about Dhurandhar on the red carpet, the filmmaker kept the focus on the film being honoured that day.

“We are here for Article 370. We will discuss Dhurandhar. Hopefully we come next year also, but today it is all about Article 370,” he said.

TV premiere date

Meanwhile, viewers will get another chance to watch Dhurandhar: The Revenge when it premieres on television. The film is scheduled to air on Star Gold on Sunday, October 18, at 7 pm.

Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles.
