The 91-year-old mother of IPS officer Ashutosh Mishra was found dead at her home in Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkar Nagar district, with blood reportedly coming from her mouth and jewellery she routinely wore missing, prompting police to investigate the possibility of murder.
The woman was found dead in the Malipur police station area of Ambedkar Nagar. There were no apparent external injury marks on her body, but the missing jewellery and circumstances surrounding her death have raised suspicion.

Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination to determine whether the woman died of natural causes, a heart attack or was killed.
The incident came to light when the domestic help who looked after the elderly woman reached the house and found her dead.
JEWELLERY MISSING FROM HOME
According to the information available, the jewellery that the woman regularly wore was found missing after her death.
The development has led police to suspect that people familiar with the family or the house may have information about the missing jewellery. Family members are also being looked into as part of the investigation, according to the information provided.
