TRAFFIC TO REMAIN REGULATED ON KEY ROUTES

According to the advisory, traffic movement is likely to remain regulated on:

  • NH-44 (GT Karnal Road)

  • Outer Ring Road

  • Adjoining roads in Delhi’s Northern Range

  • Commuters travelling through these corridors should expect diversions, congestion, and temporary restrictions, particularly during peak Kanwariya movement.

ADVISORY FOR COMMUTERS

To avoid inconvenience, the Delhi Traffic Police has advised commuters to:

  • Plan their journey in advance and keep additional travel time.

  • Use alternate routes wherever feasible.

  • Avoid NH-44, Outer Ring Road, and service roads during peak Kanwariya movement.

  • Follow directions issued by traffic police personnel.

  • Pay attention to Variable Message Signboards (VMS) for real-time traffic updates.

KANWAR YATRIS NOT ALLOWED ON UER-II EXPRESSWAY

The advisory also states that the movement of Kanwar Yatris is strictly prohibited on the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) Expressway. The restriction has been imposed in the interest of devotees’ safety and to maintain smooth traffic flow on the high-speed corridor.

POLICE SEEK PUBLIC COOPERATION

The Delhi Traffic Police has appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic management measures during the yatra. Officials said that following advisories and using alternate routes will help ensure the safe movement of Kanwar Yatris while reducing inconvenience for daily commuters.

With thousands of devotees expected to travel through Delhi during the annual pilgrimage, motorists are advised to stay updated on traffic conditions before starting their journey.
