Randwick trainer John O’Shea is looking forward to sending two promising gallopers around at Hawkesbury on Thursday with top jockey Zac Lloyd linking with the stable in the final two races.

O’Shea, who is in partnership with trainer Tom Charlton, is keen to see Street Boss three-year-old filly Seminal debut in the De Bortoli Super Maiden Handicap (1300m).

“She’s a very nice filly and has shown plenty of potential at home and in her trials,” O’Shea said of Seminal.

“Zac [Lloyd] came off her just after the start in her second last trial, but Tommy Berry rode her subsequent to that and she ran a solid third.

“She’s ready to go to the races and Zac is back on her. She should get over a bit more ground but the 1300m is a nice starting point for her and hopefully she is hitting the line well.”

O’Shea and Charlton will start last-start Newcastle winner Concrete Storm in the Book Your Christmas Raceday Party Now Benchmark 65 Handicap (1400m).

“Concrete Storm is also a very nice horse that is on an upward spiral,” said O’Shea.

“He was second-up from a spell at his latest start at Newcastle and he enjoyed a good run behind the speed before sprinting well in the straight to win in really good fashion.

“He should get a good run again on Thursday from the inside gate with Zac on him and it looks a suitable race for him again. I’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t run very well.”

Jockey Jason Collett will head to Hawkesbury where he has four rides with the quartet all having bright claims.

Collett will ride first starters Lucsain and Camden Cove for trainers David Pfieffer and Bjorn Baker in the Clarendon Tavern F&M Maiden Plate (1100m) and the Hawkesbury Race Club Motel C,G&E Maiden Plate (1100m) respectively.

Collett also combines with trainer Matthew Smith for two mounts when steering Made In Italy in Seminal’s event and Glastonbury Girl when it clashes with Concrete Storm in the final event of the day at Hawkesbury.
