A man wearing high-vis has been filmed on CCTV setting a Mercedes SUV alight in the driveway of a Sydney home.
Emergency services rushed to a home on Stoddart St at Roselands, in Sydney’s southwest, about 1am on Monday.
Police and firefighters allegedly found the Mercedes fully engulfed in flames in the driveway of the home.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but the car was destroyed.
Police said another Toyota HiLux parked on Stoddard St was also doused in fuel and received minor damage.
“Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the incident, which is believed to be targeted,” a spokesman said.

Footage of the incident shows a man wearing a long sleeve, high-visibility shirt and pants loitering along Stoddart St before he walks up to the Mercedes, pours an accelerant on the car and sets it alight.
“He is believed to have left in a light-coloured sedan towards King Georges Rd,” a police spokesman said.
Anyone with information about the incident or was in the area at the time and has dashcam or footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
