A traffic jam left one man on his scooter looking for a shortcut, and he decided the footpath was the perfect alternative.
X account Ghar Ke Kalesh shared a video showing the man riding his scooter along a concrete footpath while traffic remained bumper-to-bumper on the road beside him.
In the video, the rider was seen moving steadily along the relatively empty footpath, which had a low barrier separating it from the congested road. Cars, two-wheelers and other vehicles could be seen stuck in traffic, their red tail lights stretching along the road.

Meanwhile, the scooter rider continued making his way through the footpath, passing pedestrians, other two-wheelers, street signs and lights as he seemingly avoided the traffic altogether.
Sharing the clip, Ghar Ke Kalesh questioned the behaviour, calling the practice of turning footpaths into “personal highways” anything but normal.

The video also triggered a debate over whether the blame should fall entirely on motorists. Some users pointed out that footpaths in many places were already occupied by shops and businesses, leaving pedestrians with little usable space.
Another user criticised two-wheeler riders more broadly, arguing that much of their driving behaviour on the roads was far from normal.
Others, however, shifted the focus to enforcement, asking whether the bigger problem was the rider using the footpath or the authorities allowing such behaviour to continue without consequences.
