The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on Sunday, will conduct the NEET PG 2026 examination. More than 2.73 lakh candidates have registered for NEET PG 2026. The examination will be held in a single shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
Candidates should carry their NEET PG admit card to the examination centre along with a valid government-issued photo identity proof. Candidates should carefully check the instructions mentioned on their individual admit cards before leaving for the centre.

They should also ensure that the photograph and other details on the admit card are clear and match their identity documents.
NEET PG 2026: THINGS NOT TO CARRY
NBEMS has prescribed strict restrictions on items that can be taken into the examination hall. Candidates should not carry mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, earphones, electronic pens, pen drives or other electronic gadgets.
Stationery items such as pens, along with wallets, handbags, writing pads, notes, printed material, food items and water bottles, are also among the items candidates should avoid carrying. Jewellery and accessories such as belts may also be restricted under the exam-day guidelines.
Candidates are advised to reach the centre well before the reporting time mentioned on their admit card and follow the dress code and security instructions.
NEET PG 2026 EXAM PATTERN
NBEMS has introduced changes in the exam pattern this year. One of the key changes this year is the reduction in the number of questions. The exam will have 180 multiple-choice questions, compared with 200 questions earlier, with a maximum score of 720 marks. Candidates will continue to get four marks for every correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for an incorrect response.
The paper will be divided into five sections, with 36 questions in each section. Each section will have a fixed time limit of 42 minutes. Once the time allotted to a section ends, candidates cannot return to it.
