Oppo says ColorOS 17 is designed to improve performance by bringing software and hardware together at the chip level. The company claims this will help deliver consistent performance during everyday use, as well as demanding tasks such as multitasking and recording 4K videos for long periods. The new software is also designed to offer a more connected experience across Oppo smartphones, IoT devices and other software in its ecosystem.
What we know about Oppo Find X10 series
The Oppo Find X10 lineup contains two smartphones—the standard Oppo Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max. While both of the devices are confirmed to debut on October 21, the India launch date is tipped for October 22. Notably, the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is Oppo’s next camera flagship. A few months back, the device made its debut in the Chinese market with three 200-megapixel cameras. Oppo has confirmed that the Find X10 Pro Max is set to ship in India with MediaTek’s latest Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset. It is also Oppo’s first Pro Max model.
Since the device has already been launched in China, we have a fair idea of what the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max could bring when it arrives in India.
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is expected to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. For supported games, the refresh rate could go up to 144Hz. The display may also offer up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness, 3840Hz PWM dimming and a minimum brightness level of 1 nit.
On the software front, the Chinese version of the phone runs ColorOS 17 based on Android 17. The Indian variant could offer a similar software experience. Oppo’s Tide Engine is also expected to be part of the package. The technology reportedly reduces the time between capturing two 200-megapixel photos to just 0.7 seconds.
Cameras could be one of the biggest highlights of the Find X10 Pro Max. The phone is tipped to feature three 200-megapixel cameras on the back. These could include a primary sensor with an f/1.5 aperture and two-axis optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 200-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 124-degree field of view, and a 200-megapixel telephoto camera with OIS. The telephoto camera could also support macro photography from a distance of just 10cm.
For selfies and video calls, the phone may come with a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus. Video recording capabilities could include 8K Log recording across all three rear cameras and 4K video recording at 120fps with Dolby Vision support.
Powering the Find X10 Pro Max could be an 8,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Oppo claims that the battery in the Chinese model can retain at least 80 per cent of its original capacity even after five years of use.
The phone is also expected to offer IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It could additionally carry a five-star drop and impact rating from SGS Switzerland.
In China, the Find X10 Pro Max is available in three colour options: Moon White, Warm Orange and Light Titanium. However, it is not yet clear whether Oppo will bring all three colour variants to India.
