India appears ready for Peddi. Ram Charan’s upcoming sports action drama has got the cash registers ringing ahead of release, posting solid advance booking numbers at home and overseas. The only missing piece so far is the bulk opening shows in Telangana, where ticket sales still need to pick up pace.
Peddi advance booking numbers
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Peddi has grossed Rs 5.39 crore in India advance bookings for its opening day, excluding blocked seats. Globally, the film’s advance sales have crossed Rs 12 crore, driven by a strong response in overseas markets, particularly North America.

That said, Peddi has some distance to cover before matching the pre-release momentum of Ram Charan‘s last outing, Game Changer, which collected around Rs 26 crore in advance bookings before hitting theatres.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead, alongside Shivarajkumar and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to release on June 4, with paid premiere shows planned across the Telugu states a day earlier.
Film seeks momentum ahead of release
Advance bookings have now opened in both Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. However, with less than a few hours left for release, the film still needs a stronger surge in ticket sales to significantly raise its pre-release numbers. While bookings are expected to pick up closer to release, the current figures remain modest for a star vehicle of this scale.
As of 6 am on June 3, the Telugu version had contributed the lion’s share of Peddi‘s India advance bookings, grossing Rs 5.31 crore from 22, 0924 tickets sold across 2409 shows. The Tamil and Hindi versions had recorded Rs 3,46, 979 and Rs 18, 5445 respectively, with bookings yet to fully open across all markets.
BookMyShow listings show that tickets for the June 3 paid premieres, scheduled for 8 pm, are priced at Rs 600. According to Gulte, the Andhra Pradesh government has permitted theatres to increase ticket prices by Rs 100, including GST, in single-screen theatres and by Rs 125, including GST, in multiplexes for 10 days from June 4. The order also allows exhibitors to screen five shows a day during the period.
Reports suggest that a delay in a similar government order has held up Peddi’s bookings in Telangana. With approvals for paid premieres and ticket price revisions still pending, the makers are yet to begin full-fledged ticket sales in the state.
Peddi global box office report
The film has also generated strong interest overseas. According to box office reports, Peddi‘s premiere advance sales in the United States were nearing the $800,000 mark, with the real-time gross standing at approximately $797,000 (around Rs 7.58 crore). Overall advance sales across North America had crossed $882,000 (roughly Rs 8.39 crore) as of Tuesday morning.
With less than 15 hours left for release, Peddi has built healthy momentum across key markets. Whether that momentum translates into a bigger opening could depend on when Telangana joins the advance booking race.
